Diesel Fitter

Allclass Construction Equipment, established in 1992 and Queensland’s #1 Mini Excavator Dealer is currently looking for an experienced, highly motivated and skilled individual to take on a Diesel Fitter Role within our business.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to work within an environment that encourages you to learn and improve on your already outstanding skills.

 

To be considered for this opportunity, as a fully Qualified Diesel Mechanic you should:

  • Have a minimum 3 years’ experience in earthmoving and construction machinery
  • Have experience in diagnostics
  • Be highly motivated
  • Have the ability to complete jobs in a timely manner
  • Have the ability to organise and time manage jobs in the workshop
  • Have the ability/experience in record keeping and completing job cards
  • Have the ability to foresee possible issues with machines and take actions to help prevent failures
  • Be capable of working alone or within a team environment
  • Have a keen interest in continually learning and developing their skills and trade craft
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with diagnostic issues with a cool and calm resolve
  • Have a safe work ethic and ability to spot hazards
  • Hold a forklift licence
  • MR or HR licence – preferred, not essential
  • Hold a current QLD driver’s licence

 

The following attributes would be highly regarded but not a necessity:

  • Experience with Kubota machinery

Leading Hand/ Team Leader

Allclass Construction Equipment, established in 1992 is an independent family-owned Queensland business in the Construction Equipment industry; we are a successful dealer for Kubota, Toro and Morbark products. We are currently looking for an experienced, highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as workshop leading hand / team leader.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and work within an environment that encourages you to learn and improve on current procedures.

 

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:

 

  • Trade Qualification
  • Manager or supervisory experience within a mechanical environment
  • Experience in some of the following construction machinery i.e. excavators, skid steer loaders, woodchippers, generators and light vehicles
  • Excellent diagnostic skills
  • Solid understanding of machine setup, service and repair processes
  • Strong knowledge of diesel products and services
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • High level of communication and negotiation skills
  • High level of customer service/ good telephone manner
  • Ability to effectively manage and measure work
  • Strong commitment to safety

 

In this role you will be responsible for the day to day running of a busy workshop, supervising a team of fitters ensuring that all services, repairs, warranty work, new machine builds and workshop job planning are done efficiently.

 

To be successful in this role you will also need strong team leadership abilities, be highly organized and have a strong focus on team building and culture. The successful candidate will also be required to have a high level of written and oral communication skills, and have strong computer skills.

 

You will report directly to the Service Manager and work with the service team to increase service performance and profitability whilst maintaining a can do, professional attitude and building a strong rapport with customers.

 

Our workshop is located in Brisbane’s Westside and the position has a 5 day week with a rostered Saturday system in place. We are offering an excellent salary (and bonus) including phone and vehicle for the successful applicant.
